TM 9-2350-287-10CONVEYOR CHAIN MAINTENANCE (continued)Chain RepairNOTEIt is not necessary to break conveyor chain to replacedamaged conveyor pad.1.Turn off hydraulic system.2.Use conveyor manual crank to move damaged portion of chain to bottom side ofconveyor.3.Relieve chain tension (p. 3-43).4.Remove any damaged link (2) by removing two cotter pins (1) or by using chain breaker.5.Make sure chain is properly meshed with drivesprocket (3) and idler sprocket (4).6.Reconnect chain using chain link provided inchain repair kit.
