Hit the front end of the crankshaft (1) two or three times with a large plastic mallet, driving the crankshaft towardsthe rear or flywheel-housing end of engine (2). Striking the crankshaft will reduce the oil film on the thrust washersand provide a more accurate reading.c. Apply constant pressure on the crankshaft (1) towards the rear engine mount.0015 00-20
