INITIAL SETUP: Maintenance Level Unit Tools and Special Tools General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0926 00, Item 65) Materials/Parts Gasket Locknut (4) Lockwasher (7) Personnel Required Signal Support System Specialist 31U10 References See your -10 TM 3-1040-283-10 TM 3-1040-283-20&P Equipment Condition Engine stopped (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) Circuit breaker CB1 OFF (TM 3-1040-283-10) Battery ground strap disconnected (WP 0337 00) Air pressure released from compressor reservoir (TM 3-1040-283-20&P) Inboard armor shield removed (WP 0771 00) Smoke generator assembly removed from bracket (WP 0755 00) REMOVAL WARNING Before you do any maintenance, discharge all capacitors to ground or electrical shock could injure personnel. NOTE Left and right cable assemblies are replaced the same way, except left side cable assembly has six clamps and right side has only one. Left side is shown. 1. Disconnect cable (1) from jack 1J3 (left) (2) or 1J4 (right) (3) on back of control panel (4). 2. Remove six screws (5), lockwashers (6), clamps (7) and cable (1) from hull. Discard lockwashers. 3. Remove connector (8) attached to cable (1) through access plate (9). 0760 00-1
