INITIAL SETUP: Maintenance Level Unit Tools and Special Tools General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0926 00, Item 65) Materials/Parts Sealing compound (WP 0928 00, Item 56) Lockwasher Personnel Required Unit Mechanic References See your -10 Equipment Condition Engine stopped (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) Trim vane lowered (see your -10) Power plant access door open (see your -10) Carrier cooling system drained (WP 0227 00) Coolant heater system drained (WP 0710 00) Battery ground strap disconnected (WP 0337 00), (WP 0338 00), or (WP 0339 00) Coolant heater and pump unit removed (WP 0728 00) REMOVAL 1. Remove screw (1) and circuit lead 402B (2) from terminal strip (3). 2. Remove nut (4) and ground lead (5) from pump mounting screw (6). 3. Remove nut (7) and circuit 402B lead (2) from pump terminal (8). 4. Remove nut (9) and ground lead (5) from pump terminal (10). 5. Remove wiring harness (11) from pump (12). 6. Loosen clamp (13). Remove hose (14) from elbow (15). 7. Remove two screws (16), three washers (17), lockwasher (18), nut (19), retaining strap (20), and pump (21) from support bracket (22). Discard lockwasher. 8. Remove elbow (15) from pump (21). 9. Loosen clamp (23). Remove hose (24) from shutoff valve (25). 0731 00-1
