Use a 6-inch ruler to measure the distance from solenoid housing (1) to center of rod end pin (2).2. Depress solenoid plunger (3) in until it bottoms in solenoid housing (1). Measure the distance from solenoid housing tothe center of the rod end pin (4). The difference between the two measured distances should be 1/2 ± 1/32 inch(12.7 ±.8 mm).CAUTIONDo not grip solenoid plunger with tools. Steady by inserting awl into side hole.3. Adjust stroke of rod end (5) by loosening jam nut (6) and turning solenoid plunger (3) clockwise or counterclockwise.NOTEDo not allow plunger to turn while tightening jam nut on rod end.4.
