INSTALLATION
NOTE
The mounting hole marked E3 in rear cover and attached hardware provide a current path
return and, therefore, require special preparation and bonding as described below.
1.
Prepare electrical mating surfaces as follows:
a.
Remove grease, oil, or other nonconductive films with cleaning compound solvent.
b.
Remove nonsoluble films by sanding and polishing with garnet abrasive paper, using caution not to remove
excessive metal. Then clean using brush.
c.
Apply corrosion resistant coating.
2.
Position rear cover over distribution box mounting holes.
3.
Install five washers (1), screws (2), and lead (3).
4.
Seal assembled leads and attaching hardware at cover mounting hole marked E3 with corrosion inhibiting compound or
an equivalent wipe-on, wipe-off sealer.
5.
Route cable assembly W27 lead (4) through grommet and into rear cover. Connect lead to circuit breaker CB5 (5).
6.
Route circuit 450 lead (6) through grommet and into rear cover. Connect lead to circuit breaker CB2 (7).
