Failureto reset valve may discharge extinguisher and incorrectposition may render extinguisher useless inputting outengine compartment fires, causing serious injury topersonnel and equipment.NOTEThe two engine compartment cylinder bottles are largerthan the crew compartment cylinder bottles.A Install each cylinder bottle assembly (1, 2, 4, 12, 13 and 14) in its bracketand secure by tightening two hex nuts (10) on straps (11).B Install and connect cable asseanbly (9) to manual valve actuators (7) of crewcylinder bottle assemblies no. 3 and no. 4 (2 and 12).C Connect cable assembly (9) to manual valve actuator of cylinder bottleassemblies no. 3 and no. 4 (2 and 12) with washer (8), pin (5) and new cotterpin (6).D Readjust cable at actuator assembly (p 14-55).E Remove anti-recoil plug(3) from discharge port of cylinder bottle assemblies(1, 2, 4, 12, 13 and 14). Remove locking pin (15) from valve actuator ofengine extinguisher cylinder bottle no. 2.FInstall extender (12) (p 14-14.7) in discharge port of cylinder bottles no. 5and no. 6 (13 and 14).WARNINGIRemove locking pins (15) from valve actuators of crewextinguisher cylinder bottles no. 3 and no. 4 beforereactivating crew AFES.G Reactivate crew AFES (p 14-14.6).14-29Change 4TM 9-2350-267-20
