Ensure1/2-inch to 3/4-inch clearance between sensing elementand personnel hearer exhaust tube.INSTALLATIONE Secure sensing element (1) in each mounting and clip assembly (4) byflipping clip over each rubber bushing (6) installed on sensing element (1).111Remove cap from straight coupling. Join connector of sensing element (1)A Install eight rubber bushings (6) spacing equally along length of sensingto straight coupling (3) and wrench tighten. Do not overtighten.element (1).G Remove cap from elbow coupling. Join connector of sensing element (1)BIf removed, install eight mounting and clip assemblies (4) on eight engineto elbow coupling (2) and wrench tighten. Do not overtighten.compartment clip assembly mounts, securing each with one screw (7) andone new lockwasher (8).H Close louvered engine access doors.C Install sensing element. Hand shape sensing element (1) to fit in engineWARNINGcompartment. Route sensing element correctly through front portion of theengine compartment.Remove locking pin in valve actuator of engineextinguisher cylinder bottle no. 2.
