Slidenut back on cable (3).Pull grommet (4) with contacts (5) fromrear of plug (2).Remove plug (2) and coupling nut (6) fromcable (3).Push leads of cable (3) into grommet (4)until contacts (5) are fully exposed on otherside of grommet. Clip or desolder leads fromcontacts. Discard contacts.Remove grommet (4) and retaining nut (1)from cable (3).18.19.Solder leads in contacts (5) and press con-tacts into grommet (4). Check leads for re-sistance. Use multimeter.Aline and install grommet (4) in plug (2).secure with retaining nut (1).INSTALL CABLENOTEIf replacing lead, cut new wire from bulksupply. Measure original length, gage,and type of wire.15. Strip insulation from leads of cable (3) touncover just enough wire to fill well incontact (5).16. Slide retaining nut (1) and coupling nut (6)on cable (3).17.
