Start engine (page 2-161).2. Drive carrier slowly to firm levelground (page 2-176).3. Let carrier coast to a stop. Donot use steering levers to stopcarder.4. Stop engine (page 2-184).NOTEEither drive pin punch or trackand sprocket gage may be usedto check track tension. If usingdrive pin punch, do steps 5 and6. If using track and sprocketgage, do steps 7 and 8.5. To check track tension usingdrive pin punch, insert drive pinpunch between top of number tworoad wheel and bottom of track.If drive pin punch can beinserted freely and track touchestop of number three road wheel,track tension is correct.6. If drive pin punch can beinserted freely hut track does nottouch top of number three roadwheel, track tension is too tight.Loosen track tension, see step10.
