Do not service air cleaner or vent system after NBC attack untilcarrier has been decontaminated and filters disposed of by NBC team. Unit commander orofficer in charge must assign NBC team to decontaminate system and dispose of filters. Unitcommander or officer in charge must prescribe necessary protective clothing and safetymeasures for NBC team.NOTERemove oil can before removing manifold (see your -10).NOTEOnly M548A3 carriers converted from M730A2 will have five NBC stations.1. Remove clamp (1) and clamp (2) securing hose (3) and hose (4) to outlets on M1A1-19 precleaner (5).2. Disconnect five quick disconnect couplings (6) from five orifice connector assemblies (7).3. Disconnect circuit 135 lead (8) from main NBC wiring harness.4. Remove two screws (9) and lock washers (10) securing manifold (11) to mounting brackets (12). Remove manifold fromcarrier.
