Unitcommander or officer in charge must prescribe necessary protective clothing and safetymeasures for NBC team.NOTEAll five M3 heaters and adapters are removed the same way. If your carrier was converted froma M730A2, it may have five heaters, otherwise the M548A3 will have only four heaters.1. Remove clamp (1) and hose (2) from outlet adapter (3).2. Remove clamp (4) and hose (5) from inlet adapter (6).3. Disconnect electrical lead (7) of wiring harness from M3 heater lead (8).4. Remove four lock nuts (9), lock washers (10), screws (11), and M3 heater (12) from manifold (13). Discard lock nutsand lock washers.5.
