TM 9-2350-247-20-3REPLACE ESCAPE HATCH COVER — Continued 0467 00REMOVAL1. Unhook spring (1) and remove it through slit in hatch cover (2).2. Remove hatch cover (2) from webbed cord (3).3. Remove screw (4), washer (5), retainer (6), lock washer (7), and nut (8) from clamping ring (9), cargo cover (10), gasket(11), and hatch cover frame (12). Discard lock washer.4. Remove 14 screws (13), washers (14), lock washers (15), and nuts (16) from clamping ring (9), cargo cover (10), gasket(11), and hatch cover frame (12). Separate hatch cover frame, gasket, canvas cover, and clamping ring. Discard lockwashers.INSTALLATION1. Place gasket (11) and cargo cover (10) between hatch cover frame (12) and clamping ring (9).2. Secure hatch cover frame (12), gasket (11), cargo cover (10) to clamping ring (9) with screw (4), washer (5), retainer (6),new lock washer (7), and nut (8).3. Secure hatch cover frame (12), gasket (11), cargo cover (10) to clamping ring (9) with 14 screws (13), washers (14), newlock washers (15), and nuts (16).4. Place hatch cover (2) and webbed cord (3) over hatch cover frame (12). Hook ends of spring together.5. Install spring (1) through slit in hatch cover (2).END OF TASK0467 00-2
