Remove two cotter pins (1), link pins (2), and six washers (3) that secure two connecting links (4) to tailgate handle (5)and handle eye bolt (6). Remove links and handle. Discard cotter pins.2. Remove nut (7) and washer (8) that secure handle eye bolt (6) to hull. Remove eye bolt and seal (9). Check seal.Replace seal if necessary.3. Remove grooved pin (10) that secures washer (11) and spring (12) to handle latch (13). Remove latch, washer, andspring from bracket (14). Discard grooved pin.4. Remove two screws (15).
