Engine

a. Check engine for proper shutdown.
Engine won’t
shut down.
b. Reduce engine speed to normal idle
(650–700 rpm).
c. Allow engine to idle 3 to 5 minutes until normal
idle operating temperature (160 to 220 degrees
F) (71.1 to 104.4 degrees C) is reached.
d. Pull fuel cut-off to stop engine.
e. Inspect fuel cut-off cable for any binding,
grabbing, or looseness that would prevent the
engine from being shut down.
