Carrier could move, causing serious injury to personnel and damage to the carrier. a. Pull back on both steering levers and press the lock buttons down. b. Check transmission oil level while engine is running at a temperature of 160 to 230 degrees F (71.1 to 110 degrees C) and 1500 rpm. Any Class III leak. c. If engine is not up to operating temperature, put transmission range selector in 2–3 range and run the engine at 1000 rpm for 3–5 minutes. d. Reduce engine speed to idle (650–700 rpm) and move the shift lever through the ranges. e. Put transmission range selector in neutral (N) and set the hand throttle to run engine at 1500 rpm. 0057 00-46
