TM 9-2350-247-10 DRIVE CARRIER (M548A3) — Continued 0021 00 CAUTION Use pivot steer only when normal turns cannot be made in close areas. Stop carrier before making pivot steer. Power unit can be damaged. Do not pivot steer when carrier is moving. Avoid pivot steering on soft soil or gravel. Track may come off. After pivoting, drive ahead at least one carrier length to clear track. 13. Place transmission shift controller in PV position. 14. Turn steering wheel to the left and press accelerator pedal to pivot carrier left. 15. Turn steering wheel to the right and press accelerator pedal to pivot carrier right. 0021 00-9
