General mechanic’s tool kit (Item 19, Appendix D)
Vehicle parked on level ground (refer to
TM 9-2350-287-10).
Materials/Parts:
Engine compartment access cover removed
Cotter pin (2) (Item 11, Appendix H)
(refer to TM 9-2350-287-20-2).
Cotter pin (4) (Item 9, Appendix H)
PowerPack removed (refer to TM 9-2350-287-20-1).
Lockwasher (4) (Item 62, Appendix H)
Lower fuel tank removed (para 4-4).

REMOVAL
1.
Remove two cotter pins (4) from tensioning tie rod (8) and engine mounting bar (5). Discard cotter pins.
2.
Remove mounting bar (5) from universal joint (7), and pull mounting bar (5) and bushing (6) into driver’s
compartment.
Remove universl joint (7) from tie rod (8).
Remove four screws (1) and iockwashers (2) and engine mounting base assembly (3) from bulkhead. Discard
Iockwashers.
