InstallationInitial Setup:Tools/Test Equipment:Equipment Conditions:• General mechanic’s tool kit• Vehicle parked on level ground (refer to(Item 24, Appendix I)TM 9-2350-287-10).• Right transmission access door openedMaterials/Parts:(refer to TM 9-2350-287-10).• Lockwasher (2) (Item 164, Appendix H)• Lockwasher (3) (Item 165, Appendix H)1.2.a.REMOVALNOTEIt is not necessary to disconnect fuel lines or drain fuel filter.Remove two screws (1), nuts (4), Iockwashers (5), and washers (6) securing primary fuel filter (3) to bracketassembly (2). Discard Iockwashers.Pull primary fuel filter (3) away from bracket assembly (2).3.b.1.2.NOTEThree screws are different lengths.When removed, mark to ensure properinstallation.Remove three screws (8) and Iockwashers(7) and bracket assembly (2) fromtransmission. Discard Iockwashers.INSTALLATIONInstall bracket assembly (2) on transmissionwith three new Iockwashers (7) and threescrews (8).Secure primary fuel filter (3) to bracketassembly (2) with two screws (1), washers(6), new Iockwashers (5), and nuts (4).FOLLOW-ON MAINTENANCE:• Close right transmission access door(refer to TM 9-2350-287-10).4-56
