Lead-acid battery gases can
explode. Do not smoke, have
open flames, or make sparks
around battery, especially if
caps are off. If gassing exists,
notify Unit maintenance for
removal and servicing.
* Remove all jewelry, such as
rings, dogtags, and bracelets. If
jewelry contacts battery
terminal, a direct short can result
in injury to personnel, instant
heating of tools, and damage to
equipment.
* To avoid eye injury, eye
protection is required when
working around batteries. Lead-
acid battery gas can explode.
Do not smoke, have open
