TM 9-2350-277-20-4 REPLACE COMMANDER’S CUPOLA INTERIOR LATCH (M113A3, M1059A3, M58, AND M1064A3 ONLY) — Continued 0496 00 INSTALLATION 1. Align striker (11) with holes in cupola cover. Secure with two washers (10) and screws (9). 2. Place shim(s) (8) and support (5) on cupola. Secure with two washers (7) and screws (6). Do not tighten screws until Step 3. 3. Align catch (4) and spring (3) with support (5). Secure with headed pin (2) and new cotter pin (1). ADJUSTMENT 1. Open and close cupola cover. Check that cover latches tightly with a firm latching action. 2. To increase pressure of catch (4) on striker (11), add shim(s) (8) between support (5) and cupola. To decrease pressure, remove shim(s). 3. TIGHTEN TWO SCREWS (6) TO 300-360 LB-IN (34-41 N m) TORQUE. END OF TASK 0496 00-2
