TM 9-2350-277-20-2 REPLACE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY FUEL FILTER ELEMENTS — Continued 0202 00 REMOVAL 1. Place container under drain cock (1). Open drain cock and drain fuel from fuel filter. Close drain cock. Repeat procedures on second fuel filter, if replacing both filters. SECONDARY FILTER PRIMARY FILTER NOTE Install covers on disconnected fuel lines, tubes, valves and components during maintenance. Use tape, cloth, cardboard, or any appropriate material to prevent damage to components or accidental fuel spills. NOTE If primary fuel filter element is being removed skip Steps 4 - 10. If secondary fuel filter element is being removed, skip Step 2 and Step 3. 2. Hold primary filter canister (4) and remove screw (2) and washer (3) securing canister to fuel filter head (5). 3. Remove filter canister (4), gasket (6), and primary fuel filter element (7) from filter head (5). Discard filter element and gasket per local SOP. Use rags and wipe canister (4) clean. Discard rags per local SOP. 0202 00-2
