1-14TM 9-2350-267-20LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION OF MAJOR COMPONENTS AND SYSTEMS (CONTINUED)The upper and lower fuel cells have a combined capacity of 135gallons of fuel oil. Fuel oil is pumped from the cells, by twosubmerged electrically driven fuel pumps, to a fuel distribution ter-minal where it is routed to the personnel heater, APU fuel pumpand filters, primary fuel filter or returned to the fuel cell. The primary fuel filter receives fuel from the fuel cells. The mainengine driven fuel pump pulls fuel from the primary fuel filter andchannels it to the secondary fuel filter.Fuel is delivered from the secondary fuel filter to the engine. Thefuel return cross-over hose carries fuel from the right to the leftcylinder head. Unused fuel from the engine is routed through thefuel return hose for delivery to the flame heater system, or returnedto the fuel cells. The engine mounted electric fuel pump is activatedby a switch on the driver’s instrument panel, and allows flow of fuelfrom primary to secondary filters when the engine is not running.TA309930
