COMPARTMENT HYDRAULIC HOSES AND ASSOCIATED CONNECTING PARTS: REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (CONTINUED)
CAUTION
Hydraulic lines and ports should be capped after
disconnecting lines to avoid entry of contaminants
into system.
F
Remove nipple (9) from elbow (10).
WARNING
G Remove elbow (10) from adapter (11).
Make sure all systems are shut down and
MASTER switch is OFF. Hydraulic fluid maybe
H Remove preformed packing (12). Discard packing.
HOT.
I
Disconnect hose (13) from APU bulkhead nipple (14) and
adapter (15).
INSTALLATION
A
Apply pipe sealant (item 57, Appx D) to all male pipe threads.
B
Connect hose (13) to APU bulkhead nipple (14) and adapter (15).
REMOVAL

Install new preformed packing (12).
D Install elbow (10) on adapter (11).
A Disconnect hose (1) from pressure switch (2) and elbow (3).
E
Install nipple (9) on elbow (10).
B
Disconnect hose (4) from elbow (5) and adapter (6).
F
Install elbow (8) on nipple (9).
C Remove elbow (5) from APU wall coupling.
G Install adapter (6) on valve (7).
D Remove adapter (6) from valve (7).
H Install elbow (5) in APU wall coupling.
NOTE
I
Connect hose (4) to elbow (5) and adapter (6).
APU must be removed to perform steps E through
I (see p 13-1).

Connect hose (1) to pressure switch (2) and elbow (3).
E
Remove elbow (8) from nipple (9).
