TM 9-2350-267-10
HYDRAULIC RESERVOIR - holds hydraulic system fluid. Reservoir capacity is 13 gallons
(49.26 L).
SUCTION LINE - passes fluid to the main or backup hydraulic pump. A strainer at the inlet
of the line prevents contaminants from entering the hydraulic circuits.
BALL VALVE - controls flow of hydraulic fluid through the suction line. This valve is
manually operated and must be opened before main or backup pump is operated.
RETURN LINE - passes exhausted hydraulic fluid back to the reservoir. An in-line,
10-micron filter removes particles from the returning fluid.
BREATHER CAP - vents reservoir pressure to atmosphere.
FILLER CAP AND TUBE - permit ease of hydraulic fluid refill. A strainer is housed within
the tube to prevent entry of contaminants.
NOTE
Hydraulic reservoir sight gage is only found on vehicles 1-344.
Vehicles 345 and above do not have this gage.
FLUID LEVEL TRANSMITTER - monitors the level of hydraulic fluid in the reservoir. The
transmitter emits an electronic signal to a level gage on the hydraulic control panel.
FLUID TEMPERATURE TRANSMITTER - monitors the temperature of hydraulic fluid in
the reservoir. The transmitter emits an electronic signal to a temperature gage on the
hydraulic control panel.
