REPAIR TOWLINES (M113A2 AND M1059 ONLY) -- Continued

1.
Disconnect anchor (1) from cable assembly (2) at shackle (3).
2.
Disconnect cable assembly (2) from anchor (4).
3.
Disconnect anchor (4) from towline (5) at two shackles (6).
4.
Disconnect towlines (7) and (8) from towlines (5) at two shackles (9).
5.
Uncoil two towlines (7) and (8) from two capstan drums (10).
6.
Remove six clamps (11), two thimbles (12), hook (13), and link (14) from wire cable (15).
CLEAN, INSPECT, AND REPAIR
1.
Clean and lubricate cables.
2.
Check towlines. Replace worn or damaged towlines.
3.
Check wire cable . Replace worn or damaged cable.
4.
Check cable clamps. Replace clamps that have stripped threads.
