INITIAL SETUP: Maintenance Level Unit Tools and Special Tools General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0541 00, Item 57) Materials/Parts Lock nut (2) Personnel Required Unit Mechanic References See your -10 Equipment Condition Engine stopped (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) REMOVAL NOTE All cargo compartment seats and safety belts are removed and installed the same way. If secondary cargo area heater kit is used, remove seat covers and tubes (WP 0471 00). 1. Unhook two backrest straps (1) from two loops (2) on backrest cushion (3). Remove straps from hull retainers (4). 2. Slide seat cushion (5) and retainers (6) forward to remove retainers from slots (7) in sponson (8). Remove retainers from cushion. 3. Remove two washers (9), lock nuts (10), screws (11) and both halves of safety belt (12) from retainers (13). Discard lock nuts. 0486 00-1
