REPLACE COOLING FAN (M548A1) -- Continued

INSTALLATION
1.
Place fan guard (1) on fan (2). Secure with eight screws (3), washers (4), and new lock nuts (5).
2.
Clean mounting surface of fan (2) and mating surface of hull.
3.
Remove backing from new seal (6) and apply to fan (2) mounting surface.
4.
Turn fan (2) so flat sides of housing are in vertical position.
5.
Lower fan assembly (2) through right seat opening. Secure to three mounting studs (7) with three washers (8) and new
lock nuts (9).
6.
Secure fan pulley (10) to fan (2) with four screws (11).
FOLLOW-THROUGH STEPS
1.
Install and adjust fan drive-belts (WP 0226 00).
2.
Start engine (see your -10).
3.
Check cooling fan for proper operation.
4.
Stop engine (see your -10).
5.
Install right seat (WP 0400 00).
6.
Lower center seat (see your -10).
