REPLACE COOLANT TUBES, HOSES, AND FITTINGS (M548A3) -- Continued

REMOVAL
WARNING
Tubes, hoses, and fittings may contain hot coolant or pressure. Remove all parts carefully to
avoid injury to personnel.
NOTE
Mark all parts for easy identification before removing.
Remove only tubes, hoses, and fittings necessary to perform maintenance.
1.
Loosen clamp (1) and remove hose (2) and clamp from elbow (3).
2.
Remove elbow (3) and adapter (17) from auxiliary tank (4).
3.
Loosen clamp (5) and remove hose (2) and clamp from elbow (6).
4.
Remove elbow (6) and bushing (7) from thermostat housing (8).
5.
Remove plug (9) from thermostat housing (8).
6.
Loosen two clamps (10) and remove hose (11) and clamps from two elbows (12).
7.
Remove two elbows (12) from auxiliary tank (4) and radiator (13).
8.
Remove lock nut (19), washer (18), clamp (20) and screw (21) securing hose (15) to bulkhead. Discard lock nut.
9.
Remove clamp (14) and hose (15) from filler neck (16).
