TM 9-2350-267-10 FORDING - Continued 2. 3. 4. 5. Close  drain  valve  (1). Make sure engine is warm to prevent stalling  while  fording. Enter  water  slowly. Perform  after-fording  operations. AFTER-FORDING OPERATIONS 1. 2. 3. 4. Open  drain  valve  (1). Check engine and transmission oil for presence of water. If oil color has changed  or  water  is  detected,  drain  and  refill  (LO  9-2350-267-12). Run engine for a few minutes to blow out and evaporate any water in or on engine. Do complete vehicle lubrication immediately (LO 9-2350-267-12). Pay spe- cial  attention  to  wheel  hub  sight  gages  for  water  contamination. 2-235
