If gap is not 5/32 in. (4 mm) through entire range of travel, find correct gap by using column A on drill chart. If
gap is wrong, do steps h through o. If gap is right, go to step n.

Loosen guide nuts (1) in tops of left steering lever (2) and right steering lever (3). Pull plunger rods (4) up until
pawls (5) clear steering lever quadrant (6) and steering lever quadrant (7).
i.
Loosen steering lever pawl jam nuts (8) to adjust panel quadrant clearance.
j.
One complete turn will move pawl 1/32 in. (.8 mm). Clearance should be between 5/32 in (4 mm) and 7/32 in. (6
mm). Tighten jam nuts (8).
k.
Install plunger rods (4) into left steering lever (2) and right steering lever (3). Tighten guide nuts (1).
l.
Use a 5/32 in (4 mm) rod, screw, or drill bit shank to check gap between steering lever pawl (5) and quadrant (6)
and quadrant (7). Gauge should fit while moving left steering lever (2) and right steering lever (3). Use a 15/64 in.
(6 mm) rod, screw, or drill bit shank. Gauge should not fit.
