AND SEALS -- Continued
Adhesive, primer, sealant compounds, and isopropyl alcohol are toxic and flammable. These
compounds are toxic to eyes, skin, and respiratory tract. Continued exposure can make you
dizzy and irritate your eyes and throat.
Always use in well ventilated areas, away from heat, sparks, and flames. Do not breathe fumes.
Do not allow into contact with skin and eyes. Use goggles or face shield and protective gloves.
Put light coat of sealing compound on outer surface of new seal (3).
Install new gasket (5), retainer (4), and seal (3) in rear of housing (6). Use remover and replacer. Secure with three new
nut locking plates (2) and six screws (1). Do not tighten screws at this time.
Fill housing (6) with grease until grease appears around retainer (4).
TIGHTEN SIX SCREWS (1) TO 168-228 LB-IN (19-26 NM) TORQUE. Use torque wrench (WP 0541 00, Item 71).
Bend tabs on nut locking plates (2).
