This  Task  Covers: a.   Removal b.   Installation Initial Setup: Tools/Test Equipment: • General mechanic’s tool kit (Item 19, Appendix D) • Screwdriver adapter (Item 32, Appendix D) • Screwdriver bit holder (Item 33, Appendix D) • Socket wrench set, 3/4-inch drive (Item 37, Appendix D) Torque wrench, 0-600 ft-lb (Item 46, Appendix  D) Materials/Parts: • Nonelectrical wire (Item 27, Appendix B) • Sealing compound (Item 21, Appendix B) Equipment Conditions: • Torsion bars removed (refer to TM 9-2350-287-20-2). • Lower fuel tank removed (para 4-4). a. REMOVAL 1. Remove eight screws (1) securing cover plate (2) to floor of hull at crew compartment bulkhead. 2. Remove Iockwire (6) from two screws (4). Discard Iockwire. 3. Remove two screws (4) and washers (5) from each of two no. 3 roadwheel arm torsion bar anchors (3). 4. Remove two torsion bar anchors (3) from floor of hull. 8-8
