REMOVAL

When air intake grille support is removed, there is nothing keeping air intake grille
from accidentally slamming closed. Securety chain air intake grille to top middle door
torsion bar. Failure to follow this warning can result in severe injury to personnel.
Using suitable chain, secure air intake grille (1) to top middle door torsion bar housing (2) with chain.
Remove quick-release pin (12), S-hook (11 ), and chain (10) from sleeve (4) and bracket (3) on intake grille
(1).
Remove chain (10) from pin (1 2).
NOTE
Sleeve mount and sleeve cannot be removed from intake grille.
Remove screw (9), Iockwasher (8), washer (7), support (5), and bearing (6) from hull.
Remove support (5) from sleeve (4).
INSTALLATION
Install support (5) in sleeve (4).
Discard Iockwasher.
Install bearing (6) and support (5) on hull with washer (7), new Iockwasher (8), and screw (9).
Install chain (10) on pin (12).
Install chain (10), S-hook(11 ), and quick-release pin (12) on bracket (3) on air intake grille (1).
Install quick-release pin (12) through sleeve (4) and support (5).
