MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES WINTERIZATION KIT
CHAPTER OVERVIEW
This chapter illustrates and describes procedures for removal, disassembly, assembly,
and installation of the M992 Winterization Kit.
GENERAL INSPECTION AND REPAIR PROCEDURES
l Signs of burns, heat discoloration or damaged winterization kit housing and
components.
The mechanic will pwrform visual inspection of winterization kit components during
installation. Look for the following conditions and take appropriate indicated

l Damaged electrical leads and connectors.
l Cracked, damaged or deterioated hoses, tubes and ducts.
Repair, repair or notify Support Maintenance.
Replace or notify Support Maintenance.
l Torn, deteriorated or damaged tarpaulins and tiedown straps.
l Leaks at fuel line and coolant line connectors.
Repair or replace asappphte.
Repair or replace as appropriate or notify Support Maintenance as required.
