Use adapter (Item 8, Appendix D for 6C joints or Item 7, Appendix D for 7C joints) to tighten screws. If you have 6C joints, tighten screws (3/8 -24 x 1-3/4) to 35-40 lb-ft (47-54 N.m) torque. If you have 7C joints, tighten screws (1/2-20x2) to 83-100 lb- ft (113-136 N.m) torque. See page 2-29 for torque wrench reading with adapt- e r . Lubricate U-joints every 150 hours, 1500 miles or semi-annually with GAA. Clean fittings with PD 680 Type of solvent
