TM 9-2350-261-10M106A2 MORTAR CARRIERThis carrier is designed to carry the 4.2-inch (107-mm) Mortar M30. The mortarcan be fired from a turntable in the carrier, or removed and fired from a groundbaseplate. The carrier has a crew of six, including the driver. This permits mortar to be firedthrough an arc of 90 degrees over the rear of the carrier.It has a cupola with a caliber .50 machine gun.It is propelled and steered on land and in water by tracks.It has M17 periscopes around the driver’s and commander’s hatches for visionwhen buttoned up.It has an M19 periscope stowed near the driver.
