REPLACE STEERING CONTROL/LINKAGE (M548A1) -- Continued

NOTE
The following steps are for left and right steering levers with part numbers 12269205 and
12269206, used in later models.
21. Position rod clip (1) in left steering lever (2) and right steering lever (3) and secure with bolt (4), spring washer (5),
washer (6), and new lock nut (7).
22. Install collar (8), guide (9), and button (10) on steering lever rod (11). Secure collar and button with two new grooved
pins (12).
23. Install bushing (13) and spring (14).
24. Install steering lever rod (11) with button (10), guide (9), and collar (8) in left steering lever (2) and right steering lever
(3). Screw guide into steering levers to secure.
25. Install detent nut (15), jam nut (16) and steering lever pawl (17) on steering lever rod (11). Secure pawl with jam nut.
26. Install screw (18). Secure with jam nut (19).
27. Install bracket bearing (20) in quadrant bracket (21). Secure with two bearing retainer rings (22).
28. Place two steering lever quadrants (23) and quadrant stops (24) on quadrant bracket (21). Secure with stop screw (25),
screw (26), and two new lock nuts (27).
