b. Check shock absorbers for Class III fluid leaks
or loose fitting bearings.
Any Class III
fluid leaks.
c. Check shock absorber mounting hardware for
looseness. Tighten loose hardware to 130140
lb-ft (176190 Nm) torque.
d. Check shock absorber bracket mounting
hardware for looseness. Tighten loose hardware
to 130140 lb-ft (176190 Nm) torque.

Sprocket and
Cushion
a. Check and/or reverse sprocket teeth if their
edges fall behind wear gauge (see your -10
PMCS). Check and replace sprocket cushions if
gouges, chips, and cuts are enough to cause
thumping.(WP 0357 00).
Sprocket is
broken or
cracked.
b. Torque loose mounting screws to 110115 lb-ft
(149156 Nm) torque.
Any screws
are missing,
loose or worn.
Any elongated
holes that
extend beyond
screw heads.
c. Torque loose sprocket hub screws to 170190
lb-ft (231258 Nm) torque.
