TM 9-2350-247-20-1 BLACKOUT STOPLIGHT DOES NOT WORK 0039 00 INITIAL SETUP: Maintenance Level Unit Tools and Special Tools General Mechanic’s Tool Kit (WP 0541 00, Item 57) Multimeter (WP 0541 00, Item 29) Personnel Required Unit Mechanic References See your -10 Equipment Condition Engine stopped (see your -10) Carrier blocked (see your -10) Battery negative lead(s) disconnected (WP 0292 00) T 1. Check for loose electrical connections. 2. Are electrical connections clean and tight? YES NO TN 1. Clean and tighten loose electrical connections. 2. Verify no faults found. Y 1. Partially remove instrument panel (1) (WP 0256 00). 2. Disconnect circuits 19 (2), 514-515 (3), and 520 (4) from infrared-blackout select switch. 3. With switch in BLACKOUT position, measure resistance between circuit 19 terminal (2) and circuit 520 (4) terminal. Reading should be 0 ohms. 4. Does multimeter show 0 ohms? YES NO YN 1. Replace infrared-blackout select switch (WP 0263 00). 2. Verify no faults found. 0039 00-1
