However, if vehicle has been running, cap may be very hot. Do not remove a hot cap with your bare hand. Watch for high pressure when taking off a hot cap. a. Check filler cap visually for obvious damage and fit. Cap or gasket missing or unserviceable. b. Remove and inspect cap. 0057 00-14
