NOTES
1.
TOWING PINTLE.
Every 1, 500 miles or
annually, lubricate pintle through two fittings with GAA.
3.
Clean fittings with dry cleaning solvent (P-D-680,
Type II) prior to lubrication. Check/lubricate grease
fitting points after washing or fording.
NOTE
Steps 2 and 3 only apply to universal Joints that are
not permanently lubricated.
NOTE
When grease fitting will not accept GAA, notify unit

UNIVERSAL JOINTS. Every 1, 500 miles or
maintenance.
semiannually, lubricate four universal joints through
fittings with GAA. Universal joints are on ends of

Dry cleaning solvent P-D-680 is toxic and flammable.
Wear protective goggles and gloves and use only in
well ventilated area. Avoid contact with skin, eyes,
and clothes. Do not breathe vapors. Do not use
near open flame or excessive heat (flash point is 100
138F or 38 50C).
If you become dizzy while using cleaning solvent,
get fresh air Immediately and get medical aid. If
contact with eyes Is made, wash your eyes with
water and get medical aid Immediately.
