This  Task  Covers: a.   Removal b.   Disassembly c.   Cleaning   and   Inspection d.   Assembly e.    Installation Initial Setup: Tool/Test    Equipment: Equipment Conditions: • GeneraI mechanic’s tool kit (Item 24, • Vehicle parked on level ground (refer to Appendix  1) TM  9-2350-287-1  O). • Personnel side door opened and secured Materials/Parts: (refer to TM 9-2350-287-10). • Drycleaning solvent (Item 28, Appendix D) • Right canister door opened and secured • Lockwasher (4) (Item 164, Appendix H) (refer to TM 9-2350-287-10). • Lockwasher (12) (Item 196, Appendix H) a. 1. 2. b. 1. 2. c. REMOVAL Remove four screws (1O), Iockwashers (9), and washers (8) and plate (5) from plate (7). Discard Iockwashers. Remove three screws (6) and plate (7) from hull. DISASSEMBLY NOTE For proper assembly, record the number and thickness of shims. Remove eight screws (1) and Iockwashers (2), two latch assemblies (3), and shims (4) from plate (5). Discard Iockwashers. Remove four screws (16), Iockwashers (15), and washers (14), shims (1 2), and two strikers (11) from two brackets (13). Discard Iockwashers. CLEANING  AND  INSPECTION WARNING Drycleaning  solvent  P-D-680  is  toxic  and  flammable.  Always  wear  protective  goggles and gloves, and use only in a well-ventilated area. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothes, and DO NOT breathe vapors. DO NOT use near open flame or excessive heat. 1. Clean all parts with drycleaning solvent. Allow to air-dry. 15-60
