TM   9-2350-287-20-2 15-14.  BATTERY  ACCESS  DOORS  REPLACEMENT. This  Task  Covers: a.  Removal b.   Installation Initial Setup: Tools/Test   Equipment: • Self-locking nut (2) (Item 328,  Appendix  H) • General mechanic’s tool kit (Item 24, Appendix I) Equipment   Conditions: • Vehicle parked on level Materials/Parts: TM 9-2350-287-10). • Self-locking nut (4) (Item 327, Appendix H) ground (refer to a. REMOVAL 1. Loosen handle (6) on each of two battery access doors (l). 2. Remove  four  screws  (4),  washers  (3),  and  self-locking nuts (2) from four hinges (5) and each of two access doors (1). Discard self-locking nuts. 3. Remove two access doors (1) from vehicle. NOTE Perform  step  4  only  if  handles damaged. 4. b. 1. 2. 3. are Remove screw (7), self-locking nut (9), handle (6), and stud (8) from each of two access doors (1). Discard self- Iocking nuts. INSTALLATION NOTE Perform  step  1  only  if  handles  were removed. Install stud (8) and handle (6) on each of two access doors (1) with screw (7) and new self-locking nut (9). Install two access doors (1) on vehicle. Secure two access doors (1) on four hinges (5) with four screws (4), washers (3), and new self-locking nuts (2). 4. Tighten handle (6) on each of two access doors (l). FOLLOW-ON MAINTENANCE: •None 15-29
