PORTABLE INSTRUMENT PANEL CHECKOUT PROCEDURE
Frequently check the following gages and indicators (callouts 1-8) to make sure vehicle powerpack continues to operate
correctly. If the normal indications are not observed during this check, refer to the troubleshooting section in Chapter 3;
troubleshooting procedures begin on page 3-2.
1. Instrument panel lights (1) should be set to OFF at this time. turn on lights, if desired, to illuminate portable instrument
panel using light switch assembly on main instrument
CAUTION
If engine oil pressure is below 30 psi at 1000 rpm, check oil level.
2. ENGINE OIL PRESSURE gage (2) should indicate between 30 and 50 psi at 1000 rpm and between 50 and 70 psi at
2100 rpm. Maximum allowable pressure is 70 psi.
