2-10 TM 9-2350-267-34 B Testing capacitors 1 Test capacitor using a capacitor bridge, a multimeter with a built-in capacitance test function or bench test with oscilloscope, as appropriate, and as test equipment is available. 2 If capacitance test equipment is not available, test capacitors for shorts. NOTE Testing capacitors for shorts does not indicate if the capacitor is operating within design limits. Set multimeter on ohms (fi) function. Place leads of multimeter on either end of capacitor. Open circuit will read infinity (~). Short circuit will read from 0 to a reading in low ohms end of scale. Replace shorted capacitors. TA309674
