6-18Change 2TM 9-2350-267-20AERATION DETECTOR: REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONEquipmentCondition:Radiator fan protectors installed (p 2-5).Coolant drained (TM 9-2350-267-10).GeneralSafetyInstructions:A protective fan screen must be installed prior to doing maintenancein the engine compartment when engine is running or when runningengine in ground hop mode. Contact with rotating fan can causeinjury.REMOVALWARNINGMake sure engine and coolant are sufficientlycooled before disconnecting hoses. Removal ofhoses while engine and coolant are hot will causecoolant to spurt from hoses under pressure andwill cause severe burns.A Disconnect two electrical connectors, wires 352A and 352B (1).BRemove screw (2), flat washer (3) and ground wire (4).C Unscrew and loosen hose clamps (5).D Remove two hoses (6).Plug hoses from radiator and main tube.ERemove four screws and four lockwashers (7).F Remove aeration detector (8).INSTALLATIONReverse removal procedures.TA57153
