If E013 appears, test data cannot be ana-
lyzed because of weak batteries or inter-
rupted cranking during test. Correct
problem and repeat step 2.
z. When OFF or E013 appears, stop crank-
ing. Wait for message to appear.
(1) If a number is displayed, refer to the
vehicle test card for its meaning.
(2) If GO appears, go back to substep y.
(3) A FAIL message usually means com-
pression is too far unbalanced to mea-
sure with STE/ICE-R. Occasionally, a
FAIL message may be caused by
vehicle/equipment accessories that are
activated during cranking or by
imperfections in the starting system.
