Do not operate carrier if oil
HI-TEMP-LO-PRESS (M548A1)
ENGINE OIL LOW PRESS (M548A3)
warning light comes on with engine
running. Engine can be damaged. If
ENGINE OIL LOW PRESS or
HI-TEMP-LOW warning light does not go
off within 5-10 seconds after engine starts,
stop engine (WP 0023 00 for the M548A1
and WP 0024 00 for the M548A3).
NOTE
TRANS OIL LOW PRESS warning light
may come on when brakes are released,
but light should go off when engine speed
reaches about 1400 rpm on M548A3 only.
a. During carrier operation, check instrument panel
warning lights and gauges periodically for
possible carrier malfunctions. Panel indicators
should read as follows:
b. Warning lights - all OFF.
Any warning
light comes on.
c. Battery Generator indicator - in green zone.
