4.
The HI TEMP DIFF OIL light will come ON if the temperature of the differential oil goes above 300
F to 310
F (149
C
to 154
C). Then you have to troubleshoot the differential (WP 0055 00).
5.
The coolant temperature gauge may show a normal operating temperature between 160
F and 230
F (71
C and 110
C).
Any temperature in this range is OK. If the temperature goes higher than 230
F (110
C), troubleshoot the engine
(WP 0055 00). Normally the temperature wont go below 160
F (71
C) once the engine warms up unless you have to
idle in arctic temperatures (below -25
F (-32
C)). If the coolant temperature drops to 140
F (60
C), run the engine at
12001500 rpm until it warms up. If the temperature gauge doesnt work, notify unit maintenance.
6.
The battery-generator gauge actual conditions are: LOW (left red zone) = Dead battery or short circuit; DISCHARGE
(yellow zone) = Upper (right) half OK with engine off, lower (left) half indicates low battery; CHARGE (green zone) =
OK with engine on; HIGH (right red zone) = Overcharge. If the needle stays in either red (low or high) zone, shut down
engine and notify unit maintenance. The pointer can vary to the right or left depending on battery condition or electrical
equipment in use.
